We must be owed about 5 marginal penalty decisions against Crewe now, hope the EFL are keeping tally - should be good for 12pts over the next 2 seasons

Could well do. Difference don't look for an extra pass or two when in promising positions like Notts

Cheated out of the penalty decisions but we are a horrendously average team with quite a few substandard players and a coach who plays them out of position for reasons only known to him.

Talk of promotion is fantasy, we wont even make the playoffs and home games have become a chore. Unbelievable given the position we were in January. Looking forward to the summer and a proper rethink of how we move forward as a club.

It will be some collapse to not even make the play offs given we've been in the top 7 nearly all season and it's not like the teams underneath are consistent, they're all much of a muchness.

We could get Toni Basil in to advise on the moves?

The performances against Chesterfield and Crewe today (2nd half only) were a bit livelier than they have been for most of the previous two months, but that's not saying a great deal really, and we've ultimately only emerged with one point out of those two games.

I think there's a hell of a lot still to be desired before we become genuine contenders for promotion, both in terms of results and entertainment value. Maybe Maynard is talking to his players as much as us, trying to boost confidence, but we're certainly nowhere near being an outstanding team in this league yet. I think we'll finish in a much improved position on last season - which is progress and shouldn't be taken for granted - but there's plenty more work to do before we're oven ready for League One.

On that showing I would be inclined to agree. 1st half was the poorest I've seen Notts for a good while, did we have a shot at goal? I didn't think the 'pen incident' was anywhere near being a pen, though I would like the benefit of seeing it again. The pass to Whittaker was too heavy and the ball was going nowhere, except out of play, is what I saw in 'real time'. Same old story really, too many missed chances in the slightly better second half and the build up play was far too slow and we just didn't seem sharp enough to win many second balls.

It was a nailed on pen to Whittaker the goalie took his foot all 4 pundits on Sky agreed too.

I think Jarvis one was a pen too although in real time I didn?t think that but saw a replay it?s an elbow to the head if that happens on the half way line we get a free kick.

We weren?t great but you still need the rub of the green and most important,y the correct decisions to be given that is all anyone asks.

Long way to go yet but there really isn?t much between most sides in this league which is how it should be really.
