It was a MacInally/Bowman type tackle in the 2nd half that could have been a red for him on another day and he should be thankful to the Saints player for getting back on his feet and not rolling about on the deck or he'd have been sent off imo.

Thanks very much to Luca for great season and service for United

Hope we can get him back

His best position is on the right imo - credit to him though he shows up wherever he plays

Luca has been a fantastic addition this season. His versatility has been crucial. Slottting in at right wing-back when Strain was unavailable, covering at left-back in Ferry?s absence, and bringing the necessary battling quakitues in midfield whenever he plays there. While he isn?t the most technically gifted and at times id like to see him attempt a braver pass, he fits the Scottish game well. It wouldnt be a surprise to see him return to the league in the future and hopefully with us. Not a nailed on starter but absolutely one youd have to call on most of the season as has proven the case.

We should be going all out to get Walton and Dalby on permanent deals but the other loanees.....na yir arite.
Thought Luca was one of the better players on Saturday, as usual, and certainly doesnt deserve to be labelled as another Harkes!

Should be offered another loan deal to see how he is when not carrying an injury.

Not to sidetrack this off of Luca

I will die on this hill

Harkes WAS a successful signing for United and contributed a lot on our way back up and his time was mostly positive, he made a greater contribution for longer than Luca has so far and doesn't get the respect or credit deserved, hopefully time will alter that

Especially as someone who scored a Derby winner, a winner vs the sheep (ojo game) and another thumper in 6-2 part two

However Luca has been first class and I feel of the loan signings maybe there one we have most chance of seeing back in the summer

I don't think Luca is ****e but 100% not a central midfielder,he came to us as a right back/wing back and looked ok there without standing out.

I keep seeing posters saying he was carrying and injury so why is he starting games?and why is he starting games in central midfield when fit players like Sibbald and Babunski are on the bench?and why are Liverpool letting us play him? At best if he's carrying an injury then he should be on the bench as back up to Strain.

Sorry guys but I honestly don't see anything that warrants us re signing him permanently or back on loan, if we want to step up another wee level next season then I'd hope for better quality........and I apologise for the Harkes comparison, that's unfair as .......sorry Shedka but he was gash a big percentage of the time.

He was excellent when playing with butcher, they were a very good duo

When you added Levitt or Fuchs a very good trio, completely over run and outworked many teams, he was class against Sevco to end their 40 game streak

He was off it the last season because the team was a shambles and we had no other midfielders, just him and Sibbald really, plus the fans on their backs got to them too

So again agree to disagree, he was a very good signing for us and served us well

Loved his energy and commitment to the cause. Great example of a team player who would do anything and play anywhere just to help us get a win.

100% we need this guy back on a perm. You need just his type in the SPL as there are always battles to be won and positions to be covered. He does both exceptionally well, and i would actually say he is better at covering multiple positions than anyone else we have in the squad.

Liverpool will pop him back out on loan to a bigger club.
