SBRed Match Thoughts Barnsley v Peterborough United

Both club's have fallen from grace at this level this season although Posh did lift the EFL Trophy at Wembley the other week with a cracking victory over Birmingham City .

I can't see much past a draw personally but given my performance in the Predictions League this season what do I know .

I believe there?s some experimentation going on at the moment.
    So we can expect owt.
But this would be my lineup:

    Flavell
    Mccarthy - Roberts - Earl
    Cotter - Connell - Nwakali - OKeeffe
    Dunn - Lewis - Humphries

Accept Fabio is a loss - but pushing Dunn in a position around the penalty box is where he?s most effective.

IMO - neither Fabio, Dunn or Humphries are out and out strikers - the little I?ve seen of Lewis he just might be.
Rodrigues definitely is - but he doesn?t seem capable of getting in the squad.

Phillips, Russell and Watters wouldn?t be anywhere near the bench.

They probably will and could well start along with Mael de Gevigney, shop window !

    1st Half
OMG - that was atrocious !!!
    We haven?t got a team.
Phillips has done nothing except one decent pass and a shot at goal.
What positions are Cotter and Lembi supposed to be playing ???
Connell is again stranded in midfield.
Russell has been beyond poor but scores a good goal - but still needs subbing.

Game summed up so far when Earl the left hand side centre back on 44 minutes makes a tackle on the far right hand side near the half way line.
    There is no organisation whatsoever.
It?s a good job Peterborough are poor.
A decent team would have scored half a dozen by now.

    Slightly better.
    But still very poor.
If we continue like this into next season then we are in trouble.
Has anyone seen an improvement since CH took over ???
    Because I haven?t.
In fact - instead of seeing a new HC bounce - we have gone backwards.

I have yet to see any organisation or motivation of the players.

I said the other day why they'd hired Hourihane and that's to try and keep ST sales stable and minimise the losses .

Whether that actually works is another debate .

He's not got the gig based on results or performances or even any green shoots emerging , it's simply a commercial decision .

That said Hourihane should be judged after a pre season and a transfer window plus the first 12 games next season , that's the right way to judge him .

At the end of the day he's inherited the same crock of shyte Clarke had so it's hardly a great shock is it .

Only those who know feck all about football think different such as Neerav and his quangos .
