Woody only got the B coaching badge, he put on hold going for the A badge, so he could concentrate on playing for Doncaster Rovers, at the time.

The badge is a 3 month course and I believe you can be employed regardless?

One of the roles MH said he was looking to fill was a link between the (so-called) academy and the first team squad.
Maybe that's a possible option for Woody?

You clearly have a low opinion of the man. Why wouldn't you want yourself surrounded by ambitious people - players and staff?

Dale Tonge has been mentioned. He has a pro licence and has been chief coach at P'boro for 3 years, so more qualified and experienced than Woody.

Woody has more experience of playing success (cups and promotions) than Tonge.

Joe Skarz was moved to fitness coach by Evans but I suppose MH might choose to move him back to the academy and bring in someone more qualified on the fitness side.
Hopefully things will start to become clearer before too long.

Dale Tonge also coached at Barnsley and Hearts under Daniel Stendel. He also briefly did a bit of coaching back at Rotherham on a voluntary basis under Paul Warne during the behind closed doors covid season.

Obvious really, a few dodgy results and you get the push. Your replacement is the highly qualified guy you appointed

    Self preservation.

Aren't you more likely to get the push if your coaching staff aren't good enough?
