Poor Dave Cormack and his cohorts spent approximately ?12m for nothing in return.

That?s why I hark on about the team being lazy?.i am not trying to be annoying but just giving an honest opinion.

It might not sit well having a go at our team with some of you but I like the idea of them working hard and achieving things rather than giving up so easily.

Try and look past your needless hate for a poster who is only giving a view on the evidence that has been shown.

When you pass the training ground at various different times and don?t even see more than a couple of cars parked up with no one in site you know straight away training isn?t happening there?it?s not rocket science.

Aberdeen FC are letting standards decline and even this season at times Thelin talked about not spending enough time being able to train players. Look at how they play the game and tell me they train hard to achieve what they do. They look like a team who train as little as possible.
    I'll bite again.
Why would you be passing Cormack Park when you don't stay near Aberdeen. If I remember you are from well down the road, so doubt it is your work.

The players are usually found at Cormack Park in the morning and must mainly finish up around 1 as you can often find them dotting around Westhill shops at lunchtime.
You often see injured players jogging around Westhill in the afternoons too.

They also don't always train at Cormack Park either and they train as often as game schedule allows.

Out main issue is the system we use when up against teams that nullify it.

We don't have a plan b and is frustrating to watch when this happens.

We are a fairly young team, full on non Scottish players in a very physical league.

We had our best and worst winning and losing runs this season and still comfortably made top six.
We reached on cup semi and have a final to look forward too.

Id say a very acceptable first season for a manager coming into a new country and league.

I work all over the country so hopefully that explains my presence in Aberdeen often (away from football).

I don?t think we have a great training structure/strategy in place and that is why we play the way we currently do.

As for a physical league (this isn?t just you that gets caught up on this mantra) can I suggest that our cup final opponents can play some really good football and even though they are up against physical (in other words a poor football team) competition now and again they generally beat them no problem. My point being that if we prepare better at training, maybe even upping our efforts we might see a massive benefit.

Who honestly here thinks we will win the cup?
I will make the prediction that the game will be out our grasp by half time (and i really hope I am wrong). We don?t prepare properly for matches as we obviously don?t work hard enough.

THE LAZY DONS might have the last laugh but my goodness they will need all the luck going because it won?t be down to being a far better team on that day.

That being said let?s hope we do the business and if it means we score the winning goal that is the flukiest goal we have ever seen I am sure we will all be ecstatic.

Also we might get handed a win if Celtic don?t turn up since they feel hard done by due to us receiving more tickets than they expected.

What a weak mentality you have. You must be scared of a debate and scared your opinion is rubbished?

That will be why i don?t see many posts from you?.you will be terrified someone hurts your feelings.
Au contraire. I am in no way scared of debate. However, I am aware my knowledge of tactics, training, running football clubs etc. is vastly inferior to that of someone professionally employed in the game. It is also vastly inferior to the knowledgeable posters on here like Dee Don, Moog, Swaddon, Neeps, Vintage et al.

I love to watch the dons, love everything about our team, and have done for over 50 years (over 20 with a season ticket before moving away). But I leave the actual analysis of games and individuals to those with a deeper knowledge than my own. I will just keep enjoying the good games, get annoyed when we're sh**e, and always support our team through thick and thin as I have over the years.

But there are people who just spout absolute nonstop pish and drivel in a desperate cry to stand out and gain attention. They just get my goat, and like Dee Don, despite my best efforts I just can't help but engage sometimes.

    There, I bit again......damn me!

You do yourself an injustice if you won?t analyse a game and then won?t post due to your awareness of certain other posters opinions.

No one is spouting nonsense for attention?.that is another LAZY mantra (said by a few) as it?s only an opinion about something happening at our club.

Come and be honest with yourself and give an honest opinion on any of the topics discussed on this Stand Free forum. You are allowed to disagree as everyone sees things differently.

I might argue that I see things a lot quicker than other posters but even though I don?t agree with things said at times I will stick my neck out and give my take on it all. It might not be popular but that doesn?t bother me at all and can be a bit fun.

Don?t take other posters posts personally and don?t let their opinion get under your skin just enjoy it for what it is?..it?s a forum for opinions.

Well, other than maybe RJ ?seeing things more quickly?. Unless by seeing things, he means the imaginary, not real, invented type of things, such as the Dons not doing any training.

One day we will see how lazy our players are and thank RJ for being quick on the uptake and being right all along.

We also need some new mantra's.

    Who knew!

I will back what I say regarding THE LAZY DONS until I get proven wrong. The training must be lazy, the performance levels are lazy and we are lazy about trying to win trophies.

Aberdeen FC are a lazy club (football wise). It?s that obvious that it is frightening.

Hopefully they start proving me wrong and having a proper go at winning the Scottish Cup with a real winning strategy in place and all our players look like they believe in what they are doing.

Next season having players who don?t remove themselves from the pitch because they were too lazy to face the challenge ahead would be a basic start.

Our recruitment needs to be better also?we as a club need to up our game. Letting teams win trophy after trophy whilst we just give in is extremely lazy and a pathetic way to continue.

    Had to bump this.

    Thank you Jimmy.

It's been a topsy turvy season to say the least, but what an ending.

Mitov speaking about him after the match eas a very nice listen.
