I expect he'd like to sign a number of players, doesn't mean he will. As for Phillips, I guess a number of factors come into play, what will be next seasons salary budget, does Phillips like Eustace and Derby enough and see that he would be a key player to drop his salary demands and so on.

I'd be surprised if we do, even a reduced salary would be a hefty chunk of the salary budget and whilst he has been excellent for us, we could pick up 2 championship quality CB's for his wages and in any case getting a good striker in would require paying significant wages.

It would be nice to see him sign but other clubs will be able to offer higher wages I'm sure.

Wouldn’t have thought we’d be able to afford (or possibly need) both Phillips and Talovierov. We already have Nelson, hopefully Clarke, Langas and Fozzy as cover. Suspect it’ll be one or the other.

Not forgetting Rooney as well. We do need another CB but whether it will be either of those 2 remains to be seen.

Pressing requirement is for at least one quality striker

Lots online mentioning Ozoh. Very good player but appears to have glass legs. Sort that problem out and I'd have him back in a flash. What a MF we could have with Ozoh at 6, Ebou at 8 and Kenzo at 10.

Dion Sanderson a CB is a player well known to John Eustace after Blackburn signed him on loan from Birmingham City back in January.

    Small a winger at Charlton.

Think Small is more of a left sided defender, MA. Maybe Charlton would like CBT back in exchange.

With all the suggested incoming, to paraphrase from Jaws ?we?re gonna need a bigger bench??

Am I right in saying the transfer window doesn?t close for 4 months?

Opens on 1 June until 10 June, then 16 June until 1 September, apparently due to the expanded club world cup
