Remember last season when the club announced an independent German company was going to evaluate the whole structure of the club and advise them what they should do?

They appointed Warnock so they could take their time on what needed to be done at board level and who they should appoint as the new Aberdeen manager.

After about 2 months the club was advised that a director of football was needed to support the current board and Jimmy Thelin was the manager they should appoint.

A year later and we still dont have a director of football or whatever it?s called these days and some fans are wanting rid of Thelin.

Thats really not a good look for Dave Cormack, especially after Stephen Glass,Jim Goodwin,Barry Robson and Neil Warnock were complete disasters.

Even if he does decide to bin Thelin does anyone seriously think Cormack, Burrows and Milne will get the next appointment right?

We are in tatters?. Absolute tatters, defense, keeper , Jesus Christ 9 conceded in 2 games ? Thelin does not know or have it in him to fix this. He needs to get a nasty streak in him and tell who needs told that they are not doing good enough. Until that happens then nothing will change, while we suffer and continue to be exposed

Never replaced Ramadani - Nilsen was never fit enough, and no battlers in that team
Ramadani played the full 90 minutes in each game of the 5-0 Hearts 1-0 Darvel and 6-0 Hibs week as well as 2 pumpings from Celtic so Im not convinced we wouldnt have got destroyed tonight if he was playing.

Theres not many players in that squad that are good enough, we still have players who were signed when Glass was manager so nobody is going to come in and get anything out of them.

Too many players signed from other countries with the idea of developing them and selling them on for millions.

    Daves process isnt working.

Of course they won?t get it right because the club is needing properly structured football wise. We have Milner, Cormack, Burrows and Gunn the top men. None of these guys are football people. They can only hope they appoint a manager and the said manager does something spectacular and wins trophies because under their current system they have no football structure and just hope for the best.
The director of football was Steven Gunn before fans ridiculed Cormack and he then had to change the name of the guys position at the club except as far as i know Gunn still deals with player signings etc.
The first appointment from now on before anything else is get a real ambitious director of football in who will have the knowledge and have a plan in place of how we go about our football business. They should appoint a manager and none of these guys 4 previous incumbents mentioned should have a say in that appointment.
Aberdeen FC have lost their identity. We are just here making up numbers sacking manager after manager whilst the top 2 (Milne and Cormack) still decide with each other who is their next appointment.
They have a truly horrendous record of picking a manager between them. It would be in everyone?s best interest if they had zero say in future decisions.

Correct, spot on 100% it is not working and it won't work.
Have said it before and will say it again, Cormack, his ego and his alleged interference in footballing things is the biggest problem at our club. And it is evident time and time again and even more so in the current situation than it was during, Glass, Goodwin, Robson etc (warnock appointment was taking things too fkn far)
I tend to think that Thelin is a good manager and would be if he was left alone to run the footballing side of things the way he wants to.
But the same thing is happening over and over again and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to wrk out what the common denominating factor is in all this mess.
Cormack and his mates seriously need to get to fk.
Aye at times he talks a good "job" and fools us all at times, but in reality he is just an egomaniac pr1ck full of his own importance.

Sadly I have no idea what the answer is for the club, but one thing for sure it is not davie wanna be a yank cormack

I'm not going to get too carried away here and blame the players, Burrows, Cormack, Milne (hell yes) and Red John.
Of course, it will be Steven Gunn the administrator who will carry the can. He scouts, identifies, signs and picks the team and sets tactics.

I think the club are performing relatively well as a whole and still 100% a better club now that it ever was under Milne.

Last night and previous performances this season have to be on the manager.

You would expect too see a change in our set up to stop the rot, but no. A change out of players, but the tactics stay the same.
It's a lack of a plan b that has killed us all season.

I honestly don't think the players gave up last night. I just think our tactics give teams the freedom of the pitch to exploit us. The better the team, the more damage they will do. We know it was a Septic reserve team that was out last night, but most of those players would walk into any other team, including the hun.
We did show in periods we could hurt them, but they also showed they could pick us off when they wanted we did nothing to address that...again!

Go back to last season and the low of the Motherwell game where Shady Mo was right wing back. Warnock rightly got stick for that tactics, but he still switched it around and got us a draw and were unlucky not to sneak a win. We've come back from being behind this season, but we hardly ever look comfortable.

A lot of us have commented all season about a plan b from Jimmy and not once have we seen anything to suggest he has one. We made Forrest look like prime Ronaldo last night. James f*cking Forrest!!!

Can Jimmy come back from this. I doubt it. A parting of the ways might be the best thing after the cup final, but who knows. I certainly don't.

You could sense a definite change in mood at Pittodrie last night.

I am certainly not enjoying seeing this play out again.

It?s all very well trying to put all of the blame on the manager but last nights performance against Celtic isnt something thats just been happening this season.

We got rinsed 6-0 against them last season as well and it was all down to Barry Robson at the time.

Celtic games aside the players have looked like they have chucked it under every manager we have had in the last 5 years and that includes McInnes.

Of course Thelin needs to take a huge chunk of the blame for the teams performances this season because he is the manager.

But anyone who thinks that Cormack and his football monitoring board are completely blameless in this are kidding themselves on.

Thelins time at the club might be short lived but the next guy that comes in will not do any better under the current structure at the club.

Why is Topi picking up their centre half at corners? Theyve either decided he was the best man for the job which is alarming, or they havent set up right in the first place. It?s so easy to fix. Were just handing them free goals and weve been doing it all season

Youre then asking the same players with zero confidence, to try and play football in their own half. Its ridiculously naive.

To stand any chance at all against these minks, you have to be disciplined, organised, mark people properly & get the ball up their end as quickly as possible. Pretty much everything we dont do

I'm just glad that nobody is blaming me for starting the match threads.
