    That might be telling. Certainly to the naked eye there has been a real deterioration in performances since Saunders walked out. That's not to say there haven't been occasional exceptions, but overall there definitely seems to have been something missing.

    Results didn't matter. Ardley couldn't play the style they wanted.
    He left because Burchinall was available & other clubs were sniffing around him including Barnsley, so the bros swooped
