Newcastle United target Marc Guehi is prepared to run down his Crystal Palace contract to land a dream move to Real Madrid or Barcelona next summer, according to The Sun. The 24-year-old has a year left on his deal at Selhurst Park and the Magpies are among a host of potential Premier League suitors.

It's claimed that Newcastle are the favourites to land Guehi this summer, but he could run down the final 12 months of his contract in order to seal a move to La Liga in 2026. Real Madrid and Barcelona are both keeping an eye on Guehi, who is not against the idea of leaving Palace for a Spanish outfit.

Looks like the Spanish Mafia have been in 'SuperStar's' Ear.

If he comes great, if not we'll get someone in of equal or better quality.

Isn't it great to be in a situation where we, the sensible fans, know that the recruitment team, Director of Football and everyone in the boardroom are working with the manager to do the absolute best and bring in the ideal players.

If that Guehi, great, if it's someone Mitchell has had his eye on from the continent for a while and will cost less or more but has a better development profile then so be it.

I'm just not bother at all to the levels of the old days.

..what has disturbed me more is funding out that Targetts on100k per week.

There are a multitude of quality CBs out there, many cheaper.

He won't be going anywhere near the Spanish big 2.

There was outrage about that a while back when it was discovered.

I'm not to fussed when he was playing consistently. He's a solid 7/10 every time he steps on the pitch. Sadly that is for just quarter of an hour this season.

best wishes to him on his next adventure but I don't think it will be here. Perhaps he might just stay on as Halls understudy.

We do need 2 players in each position and can't replace everyone.

We need a +1 CB right side. Burn needs to be challenging the Botman for the left side Cb. Hall LB needs a challenge.

If he's back to fitness he's Targett is a great understudy.

Great isn't it, this being a fan of a functioning, ambitious, well organised and well run club.

    It's a new dawn, it's a new day.

Looks like Big Al agrees with me of Rodrygo!

“I think Rodrygo would do very well in the Premier League - he’s an excellent player,” Shearer told Betfair. “I heard one or two things that maybe last year, one or two English clubs were chasing him. If that is the case, that he’s not happy at Real Madrid, then there won’t be a shortage of offers for him to come and play in the Premier League.

“That there would be two or three clubs that would try and get him. I would possibly say Newcastle could be one of those clubs, but that all depends on whether or not he could do it in the Premier League. Could he do it for Newcastle? Yeah, absolutely.

“That all depends on the finances and the deal that’s there. I wouldn’t put it past them to have a look and see whether that would work or not. I don’t know his personal situation, but I’m pretty sure that there would be two or three clubs chasing him. Bruno Guimaraes will know him very well and if it were to be the case, I’m sure that he would speak to him.
