I was umming and ahing too Sclox. However, looking closer at his stats, availability, consistency and end product in more detail as I've highlighted, he's absolutely an upgrade.

Further more, he's 26 in August, hitting the peak prime years of his career. He will get a little better, wiser more cunning as players do. By 25 top players are around their top level for technical and physical.

The mental game is the bit that develops 25-30.

Eddie Howe & coaches will fine tune him to become more deadly.

Throw him in with Isak & the two on the left is very exciting!

Moreover, it's not a risk. We're buying a certainty. We know he's good, we've all seen it for the last 4 seasons. The lad is a big step up.

I say GOOD RIDDANCE to Mitchell, the guy was a useless KUNT, has achieved NOTHING in the past few windows, and from all reports Mitchell and Howe do not get on or agree on the same targets, or budgets, so I know who I'm placing my trust in, and it's not Mitchell, a bloke who smacks of being a Mike Ashley sycophant. Mitchell stuffed up all negotiations in the previous windows and should heve been given the royal @rse a long time ago. I read this clown is still hanging around for another month or so, SURELY NOT???? Empty his desk, and send him to Manure, where he belongs.

Apparently he's going to secure a high profile transfer before he leaves.

We'll have to wait and see. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Talk is cheap actions speak louder.

yeah man that was a decent deal. Gotta give him credit for that. However, the word is that he's a very arrogant person.

That just doesn't work in the family oriented working environment Eddie Howe has built.

I read Mitchell was against signing Bryan Mbeumo !!!! He also STUFFED the signing of Marc Guehi, by playing hard ball over a fee between 60 (which he offered) to rejecting the BUY-HIM-NOW price of 70 million Palace wanted.

I'm glad he's going, these so-called "experts" in dealing with transfer targets and negotiations are the most over-rated employees at the club. All they do is read the gossip columns and watch highlight shows, I'm glad Mitchell is buggereing off to another joint !!! GOOD RIDDANCE !!!!!

If we do get him, then one big benefit is that he won't be playing against us twice a season.

Unfortunately I can't remember him having a bad game against us.

It's clear the lad's a quality player in a mediocre Brentford team. When Toney left, he stepped up big time. Not at all bothered my pressure.

The more I have looked into his numbers, the obvious quality player is revealed as something quite special.

Off the ball his 100% committed. He gets back to front so rapidly. Technically assured, doesn't lose the ball, makes good decisions in each phase of the play in every area of the pitch & has almost Isak level number of end product.

Arguably on his way to being a world class winger.

    50m quid is a bargain.

I do have to say, based on how Palace ran that deal against us. We agree at ?70 million and it would have changed again.
