Karaoke in a bar in Corralejo last week saw an Irishman start off by apologising to "any Spanish speakers" in the bar and then gave a rendition of La Bamba and I reckon he'd have got an 8 out of 10 for pronunciation.

On the flight out to Fuerteventura I watched the ZZ Top documentary "Lil old band from Texas". Both er indoors and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Brian Wilson too. Musical pioneer and genius. Two in as many days, both 82 I think. Thanks and RIP.

Monday night found me at Utilita arena in Birmingham to see Lionel Richie with Mrs F. The tickets cost the same as half a seasons Derby Rams ticket and the gig itself was MORE disappointing than the Rams?I?ve seen LR five times as Mrs Fs chaperone and this was by far the worst, an opinion shared by Mrs F who is a repeat early gig leaver (we left before the encores). Not an opinion I?d share on wider social media, I?ve seen others feed themselves to the wolves in similar critical style. Anyhow, the highlight for me was an old Commodores number, Brick House, as performed by the band themselves - and to show a bit of musical appropriation, not sung by Lino, he only played sax on the original https://youtu.be/KzOJaHHlIcQ?si=HDroKzh-y-atDhFN
