We’ll take on 2. Bundesliga side SV Darmstadt during a pre-season training camp in Germany next month.

The friendly will be played at Darmstadt’s 17,800-capacity Merck-Stadion am B?llenfalltor on Wednesday 9 July (6.30pm local time).

It will be the first of three matches we play before retuning to the UK on Wednesday 16 July, with a full schedule and ticket details to be confirmed ASAP.

Darmstadt finished 12th in the German second tier last season, having been relegated from the Bundesliga the previous year.

The city is located near Frankfurt in south-western Germany

From F.C. Kaiserslautern's site... (Platz 4 is one of the training pitches outside the stadium, not the main stadium itself)

"...Before heading to training camp, another friendly match is scheduled at Betzem: On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the Red Devils will host fourth-place Notts County. The world's oldest professional football club currently plays in League Two, the fourth-highest English league, and missed promotion to League One in the playoffs last season. Kick-off against the Nottingham team is at 1:30 p.m.

    Saturday, 12 July 2025,
1:30 p.m.: 1. FC Kaiserslautern vs. Notts County FC,
    Platz 4 at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion.
    Ticketing information to follow."

    Now also announced by Notts...

"We’ll kick off the trip with a visit to SV Darmstadt’s 17,800-capacity Merck-Stadion am B?llenfalltor on 9 July (6.30pm local), before visiting FC Kaiserslautern’s training ground, situated in the shadows of their Fritz-Walter Stadium, on 12 July (1.30pm local).

As we only expect to be allocated around 200 tickets for the Kaiserslautern fixture, we strongly advise supporters to avoid making concrete plans based on attending that match until we’re able to share ticketing details, which will follow ASAP.

We’re also in the process of arranging a third friendly towards the end of our camp, which concludes on Wednesday 16 July.

Darmstadt and Kaiserslautern are cities in south-western Germany, with Darmstadt situated south of Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern nestled near the Palatinate Forest to the west."

Shame it’s not at Kaiserslautern’s stadium. I saw a game there during the 2006 World Cup and they have an immense stand behind one of the goals.

120 years of stadium history: The oldest professional club in the world comes to Degerloch

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the GAZi Stadium on the Waldau will be the venue for a special football evening: At 7 p.m., Stuttgarter Kickers will host Notts County FC, the oldest professional football club in the world ? a real highlight in the summer preparations and a celebration of the stadium's 120th anniversary.

Germany's oldest stadium meets the world's oldest professional club

The Kickers Stadium, then known as the "Kickerssportplatz," was opened on June 18, 1905, with a 3-3 draw against Ph?nix Karlsruhe. The fact that Notts County, founded in 1862, is now traveling to the anniversary match provides a special setting for all football fans who love the sport in its most authentic form.

Notts County has a special history:

    • Founded in 1862 ? one year before the founding of the Football Association (FA)
    • Founding member of the Football League (1888)
    • Today in EFL League Two ? England?s fourth-highest league

For Kickers fans, this match is more than just a test: It's a clash between two football nations in Germany's oldest stadium, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. It's also a sporting comparison: How does a German regional league team fare against an English fourth division team?

And there's plenty to celebrate off the pitch, too. Not only is the Kickers stadium celebrating its 120th anniversary, but there's also another record to celebrate: With 11 years as main sponsor, MHP ? A Porsche Company has been on the team's chest longer than any other sponsor before.

Kickers President Rainer Lorz says: "Notts County is a special opponent with a special history that fits well with us and our stadium. This is more than just an ordinary friendly for us."

Tickets are available in the ticket shop from Wednesday, June 18th .
All further information will follow in the coming weeks ? the club is looking forward to a well-attended GAZi Stadium and an unforgettable anniversary match.
