We would be in the company of 150 countries that don't subscribe, including those nasty countries like Australia, Canada, NZ, USA and Vatican City

It would give us the opportunity to make our own laws Kerr surrounding this matter and not be beholden to judges who are presented evidence by immigration lawyers who by definition are immigration or human rights lawyers because they hold extreme liberal views which are at odds with a significant number of voters in the UK .

This situation can't go on , we can't afford it and neither can the continent of Europe for that matter , most certainly we can do our bit like we've always done but not at this scale for too much longer .

May I recommend The Strange Death Of Europe by Douglas Murray for you to read .

Terrific read. Amazingly it was published 8 years ago.

And don?t forget the legal people make a lot of money on the loopholes of human rights legislation.

Australia, Canada, NZ, and the USA aren’t in Europe, gm, but I appreciate that it can be confusing when Australia are allowed to compete in Eurovision. My understanding is The Vatican doesn't join any supranational organisations. In fairness, I think I was told a few years ago that the Isle of Man isn't a member either.

What law(s) do you think should be passed to stop the small boats, animal? And in what way are they blocked by ECHR membership.

I started The Strange Death of Europe after I had read The Madness of Crowds. I couldn’t finish it – I found it repetitive and dull – a series of carefully selected scenarios spun to justify his position

Meanwhile Israel, the US and the UK continue to stir up more s.h.it in the middle east and generate even more refugees and human traffic.

2 million Palestinians and goodness knows how many Iranians out of a population of 90 million will be on the move if destabilisation and interference continues at the current pace.

Maybe if we stopped arming and supporting rogue states and concentrated more on the UK rather than sticking our nose in where it's really not wanted or needed, then displacement might slow down.

    Really?
So why have the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant? (along with Hamas leadership)
Why do UN rapporteurs repeatedly report on human rights abuses committed by Israel?

Netanyahu is war mongering to save his own skin. Many Israelis aren't happy with how he's turned Israel into a rogue state.

Re the OP... Israel's aggressive destabilisation of the region will mean more refugees, asylum seekers and radicalisation. Stop the boats by all means, but if we don't recognise root causes for mass movement of people - in whatever region - dealing with the problem will be a constant drain on resources.

But I suppose that is the point. Keep the refugee pot boiling to deflect our attention away from why the country really is in such a parlous state.

Next they'll be blaming the water shortage in many parts of the UK due to the surge in the numbers of people seeking asylum for drinking too much water. Simply not true.
All politicians need to get their houses in order and stop trying to distract us with side issues such as giving the vote to 16/17 year olds by the next General Election.

Didn't England do well against Sweden in their Euros Quarter Final game?
