Still no response from the admins but it looks like somebody is working on issues so we may get an improvement over time.

I spoke to a ‘friend’ who used to run a very similar forum (the Metal Hammer forum, long gone now) that I was a mod of and having listened to my list of issues he thinks the maintenance has been handed from a pro to a happy amateur and they are struggling to recover from the cyber attack the website apparently had.

He referred me to ChatGPT for a lowdown on how tricky such forums are to maintain, I actually use Deepseek and the response to my question ‘How easy is a vbulletin forum to create and maintain’ was an eye opener, check it out for yourselves

In fact, it costs a fair bit these days. Regularly having to buy new mohair suits, Italian shoes, Ben Sherman shirts, ties. Then there's the cost of a refurbished scooter. A TV175, bored out to 200 would, in top condition cost between 8 and 10 grand these days... most expensive one I've seen was 14 grand.
