    Fun (a) 31st Aug

    Thoughts on this one?

While not season defining this early (by end of September we'll have only played 5 league games unless the sheep game is rearranged) definitely don't want a defeat with the fortnight break between now and Hibs then another fortnight for the one after

Really tough one to call but despite injuries have a solid enough team to choose from

    I'd probably go
    Kuch
    Iovu Esselink Keresztes
    Luca Sevelj Camara Sibb Ferry
    Dolcek Moller

    3-2 Utd

    ---------------Kucherenko------------

    Stephenson-- Bert--- KK------ Ferry

    Dolcek--- Sibbald----Camara- Fatah

    ----------- Moller--- Stirton----------

Got to go to a back 4. If Dundee are good defensively we have to have a right go at them to see if indeed they are. If we play in front of their defence they will look good. Get at them, goals win you games and the points. Can bring on a centre-half later to go three at the back.

Happy with that line up. Definitely need that 3 in midfield between the wing backs. 343 at Tannadice saw us badly out manned there, can't be making that same mistake again.

I would have Sam in for lovu. Subbed last couple of games near to end. For me he?s is the weakest out the back 3 and sometimes gets caught out of position.

Agree that Sam should have his chance in place of Iovu who has been weakest of back three and cost a few goals

Sevelj to get in the team needs a 5-3-2

Start Dolcek and Stirton and can bring on Fatah and Moller later on

Here is where the danger lies in this game for us........

DFC have been written off by many this season because of the players they have lost and the manager they appointed. We have an injury list to die for so i reckon both teams are now fairly evenly matched.IF we had every player fit and raring to go i reckon we would win this game but as we all know this is not the case.

The main worry for us is Pressley has been working his players non stop on set pieces to make up for their lack of quality in open play and that paid dividends at Ibrox when they scored from a set piece delivery. We have conceded loads of goals via set pieces so i sincerely hope that our manager has used the last fortnight to sort out our issues in defending corners and long throws etc because that appears to be The Dees main threat.

I agree 100% They will be desperate to put down a marker against us and try and bury the game in the first 20 minutes...they won't want us to find our feet in the game. And as for set pieces, I am currently in a position where I would rather give away a penalty than a corner! Hopefully this has been worked on massively. It will all be about intensity and defending for me. We can't afford to lose cheap goals, especially when we are light up front!

One advantage we do have is DFC have played on the break in every league game so far, they sat in v Hibs at home and it was 15 shots to 2 in favour of Hibs.It never changed much at Ibrox,20 shots for The Hun and 7 for The Fun.Against Killie it was 12 shots for Killie and 6 for DFC.

The Derry will not accept their team playing that way against us so Elvis has got to take the shackles off and that Could be key for us IF we can defend properly.

Based on what we've witnessed so far this season, this looks very unlikely. I think to win this game will need to score at least three.
