Derek you post was very good and you raise some good points. We are in a difficult place at the moment, failure to get us sat comfortably in mid-table will increase the pressure on all concerned, I believe that nobody sees relegation in our Centenary year as a good thing.
I hope we start to win games and MH is successful, there is nothing worse in football for me than seeing us struggle, play poorly and lose games.
I do think that as this is a fans board we should welcome all opinions about what is good, bad or just frustrating. Discussing such points is what a board is suppose to be about.
Here is hoping for a happy board after the match on Saturday

I would like to add my appreciation of Derek's post and ditto Derby's hope for a happy board after Saturday's game.

However, given the problems with injuries, if some of 'our' expectations are not met, here's hoping that some contributors can restrain their inclination to be very negative.

Thank you everybody for your positive reactions to my post. I think we are all just very passionate about our club and there are many different ways that passion can be expressed.

Derby, I completely agree a message board is exactly where different opinions should be expressed, positve or negative. Like I said, we love a good moan, me included. I think sometimes the atmosphere borders on toxic, sometimes people seem to want us to lose so they can say "I told you so," and some folk are clearly on a wind up. But I guess that is the melting pot that makes a forum an interesting place. If we all had the exact same view and only posted to say we agree with the previous point then it'd be a pretty stale board.

Mellow, I see what you're saying about the younger generation. I think some of the community stuff we do is excellent and this is one way to attract local and younger support, but is it enough? Do we push more towards a modern, more Americanised "Tik Tok" way of promoting the club or would that risk alienating some of our more traditional support? The elephant in the room is the lack of Asian support we have given the demographics of the town, especially the areas within walking distance of the NYS. I've seen other clubs working hard to address things like this, Sutton Utd being one, an attempt to make match day demographics be aligned to the local area. But attempts to make the atmosphere more inclusive to new support from different cultures will inevitably be seen by some as the club being too woke rather than an attempt to put another 1000 on the attendance. I think it's a tricky balancing act that the club has and similar sized clubs will feel the same.

Anyway, it's Saturday, we have a home game, as said by others lets hope we're all happy come 5pm! UTM
