I think it will be 3 nil now because my dad and me decided not to go because of our adventures in A and E Sunday night, he's 87 nearly and knackered by it and I'm still not 100% from my Greek adventures.

    Watching on Sky of course..COYR.

Can't watch any more of that garbage. Hope my absence leads to a comeback but I hold little hope

1st minute, Morris has his shirt pulled up around his head to stop him playing. No spot kick given. Probably because Morris had a handful of the defender’s shirt too

Clark raises his foot in their box, makes no contact but gets penalised. Later in the half, a similar height, Elder gets kicked in the head but no free kick.

Can’t blame the ref for everything though. In previous games I’ve complained nobody is on their “man”, not tracking back, not putting opposition players under pressure. Same again, We have the ball and they are all over us like a rash, rushed into passes and we give it away. All too often the man in possession has no outlet due to a) insufficient movement and b) their being right on top of us.
Charlton playing one and 2 touch. We are slow on the ball giving them all the time they need to be ready to tackle or intercept, get in first.

1st half we’ve had some moments but the ball into the box has been poor on the few occasions it’s not been blocked it’s failed to get past the front man.

Their goal? Unmarked players combine to see the ball reach Bree, who has jogged into the box with no Rams player within 10 yards, lets the ball bounce once and hits a cracking volley into the net. JWZ had no chance.

Speaking JWZ, on 2 occasions poor control, which is unusual for him, saw him in danger of conceding. Fortunately he got away with it
    1st 45 not good enough.

Half time, Adams (not having his best game on the ball) replaced by Ozoh.

2nd half much better. More movement, tighter on the opposition, better passing (still needs improvement) and we’re the only side that looked like scoring. When the goal came it was from 2nd phase play from an overhit corner, Travis chased it down, put in a dream of a cross and Clarke put it away.

Why are we playing so much better in the 2nd halves of games? Someone put some stats on FB. They’d broken down the games into separate results for 1st and 2nd halves. We’re averaging 0.5 points per 1st half of games. 1.75 in 2nd halves. Solve the 1st half performances and we’ll be fine.

Definitely improved as the game went on, had we started like that we would have won

I fact checked the figures I'd seen on 1st and 2nd half "results". They're correct based on a 3 points for a win in a half and 1 for a draw.

    1st halves, we've drawn 4 and lost 4. 4 points at 0.5 a half.
    2nd halves, we've won 4, drawn 2 and lost 2. 14 points at 1.75 a half.

Still away so no informed observation from me, but it is a fact that the vast majority of our matches have been played against teams from the top third, if not the current top 6, of the division and we remain only three points behind Ipswich, many peoples’ favourites for an immediate return to the top flight.
It’s disappointing and my ‘sources’ suggest that the main problem is a lack of creativity from midfield.
Adams - slightly surprisingly - Travis and JWZ seemed to be the main target of criticism on other forums after last night.
Don’t know how justified that is, but we’ve still got over 80% (!!) of the season to go so let’s keep some perspective.

First half - shocking. Zetterstrom just not concentrating, could have cost us three goals, Travis and Adams both ineffective, I hope Travis improves because it'll be difficult for Eustace to drop his captain, Agyemang clumsy, no structure and not helped by a biased/'awayer' ref

Second half slightly better, we're desperate for a decent crosser, Ozoh's energy and neat footwork made a big difference, Likewise Salveson was a big improvement and IMO needs to start.

MOM Clark, MOSH (second half) Ozoh. Lots of rattle about him not being up to a full game, so IMO take him off after we're two up rather than bring him on when we're one down

And, correct me if I'm wrong please as I can't see a replay, we have the goal away after giving them the ball directly from our throw in

Throw. Ball into the box, over Aggy's head. Next player in line for us was Clark. Ball didn't get to him. It was the Charlton defender between the two who nodded it back to the keeper who sprinted to the edge of his box, thumped it upfield. Great control by Kelman, ball out wide, cross, 1-2 and the pass to the unmarked Bree who connected beautifully giving JWZ no chance.

Thanks MA. Drives me mad, I was watching with a non-Derby fan and I mentioned our appalling throwins to him a few minutes in. By half time he agreed, said he?d never noticed before and it contrasted starkly with Charlton?s clearly thought-about efforts. Throwins are possession FGS

Throw in one of my pet peeves, players out wide getting the ball and, instead of going forward, they play it 30 yards back. Be it the "wing back" of the "winger", they all do it. Play positively, take a player on, it works.
