Anyone Worried about the Thomas Frank Spurs new look heading up North ?

a few of my Spurs contemporaries telling me that Thomas Frank has implemented a flowing flexible tactical system for Spurs to utilise using a combination of formations from a 3-5-2 and a 4-3-3 primarily and is open to further adaption of his strategies as well.........

even so ..... only 21 minutes game time this season for Archie Gray ..........not sure if he could get more in our present set up.......

it appears that Franks tactical aims are to create a high percentage of chances through deep crosses and intelligent movement.......
to do this his team uses direct passes of long vertical passes into the central areas often totally bypassing the midfield to exploit space behind the opposition defence....... similar to us Spurs position their wide players high and with support from overlapping fullbacks to attack down the wings into creating crossing opportunities......

its reported in the London press that the Spurs boss might be frustrated with his tactical tweaks which have had Spurs looking confused when the changes do not come off as hoped for.......
Brennan Johnsons importance to this Spurs side is key for many...... including which mood of Richarlison turns up for the game up front battle.

following Spurs Chairman Daniel Levys sudden departure last week Thomas Frank will not be sure how much say he will now be given in Spurs longer term strategy...... as the club is fending off new offers to sell now.......

a USA consortium has launched a record 4.5 billion quid takeover bid initially rejected but have a further month to submit further progress......
the consortium bid is being led by a former music dj and NASA tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick........
it is claimed that 3.3 billion quid would be offered to take full control of Spurs and 1.2 billion quid would then be invested into the squad....... with a 250 million quid stadium naming rights deal reportedly being lined up.........

in accordance with the obligations under Rule 2.6a of the City Code, the Consortium is required by not later than 5.00pm on 24 October 2025 to either announce a firm intention to make an offer for the Company in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the City Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for the Company.

hopefully another good gutsy performance from us and Legs Lewin up for it from the start will get us a result from the southern softees..........

Ohhh no, not another USA company, the holocaust is getting nearer and nearer, not to mention intruders from outer space as Atlas scope has witnessed. I think we have more to worry about than football, Mrs O, Russia is threatening everyone and anyone, making friends with Muslims, and for an orthodox country, I find that upsetting. Not to mention one dictator in bed with two of the world's worst human dictators. So sorry if my mind is on other things than football. Football is just a sidetrack from the world's problems. Make no mistake, World War 3 is here, and it will destroy half the countries. Janko and the younger generation will be left with nothing. Anyway, we will forget about that and worry about the Spurs, I guess.

I was worried a few games ago but a bit less so now. They have a few injuries and Leeds seem to be finding their mojo and a degree of confidence. Points from two games in a row where we have been behind is promising.

Anything out of that game is a.bonus.

really getting my mojo now...... as our physicality and strength in the air is going to be useful for this stage of our PL baptism.......

Spurs have got a poor record creating from open play and their keeper Vicario has been identified in reports as being poor in the air particularly at set pieces and crosses........
which is a weekly topical concern on their forum discussions and press match reports...... a big bone of contention also from Spurs fans is the worrying signs with regards to their attack........as when chasing a match they persist to just pumping crosses into the box and hoping someone will be on the end of it.

Spurs had the best part of 40 minutes to respond after falling behind to the Wolves goal last time out........ showing an incredibly poor response to the Wolves opener....... and only a stoppage time equaliser from Palhinha earned them a point eventually........despite Frank changing tactical systems throughout the game.

the London Evening Standard who provides excellent reports on London clubs games stated........ when Simons signed for Spurs in the final days of the summer window all felt it was inevitable that he would become the chief creative threat and the main man his team would turn to for moments of inspiration........ the London Standard now state this is not the case as it is Kudus who they most rely on for moments of magic...... so hope we can keep both of them battened down for ninety plus minute by muscling them out of time and space to use the ball.

i noticed Iraola replaced all Bournemouths three key right sided players against us on 60 minutes...... as he was so perturbed to our physicality upon them at that stage of the game......... also saying after that he acknowledged it was a real physical game because Leeds have Calvert Lewin and Longstaff with other physical players that can punish in every set piece which they were fully aware of.......yet all of our goals still came from set pieces. 🙂

bit more composure and belief could see a tidy three points here for us.

I really like our squad and the physical play. We will stay up. Don?t think top 10 out of question. Not hard on the eyes either

this season 28.4 per cent of PL goals scored have come from set pieces....... which is the highest of the past ten PL seasons with 3.2 per cent of goals coming from long throw ins....... media are reporting.

Farkes emphasis will still be playing safely in open play to reduce the uncertainties before capitalising on our safer more structured parts of our game plan worked on in training...... which can now be seen in our better sequenced movement and positioning........ pleasing to see we are learning quickly to anticipate where we all should be to receive a pass and finding those open spaces in the process.
.......good seeing our players have a better understanding of their roles now and are prepared to take on more responsibility.

not easy following opposition tactical team movement whilst finding opportunities for runs to create space for yourself or others....... but defensively our full backs and Lewin are fast becoming attentive to their roles currently being asked ......which will help the others demonstrate what they can do well now to.

dodgy away draw for Spurs tonight against Norwegians Bodo/Glimt....... at an 8,270 seater stadium located above the Arctic Circle on a tricky artificial pitch shown on our tv.

jammy own goal on 89th minute........Archie on for 8 minutes in which he delivered the cross for the late own goal giving Spurs the equaliser during another frustrating team performance for Thomas Frank to comprehend over...... hopefully a delayed flight home and lots of tired legs for them to sort out.....
