Ticketing for Swindon FA Cup match.

    Absolutely ridiculous !

Presently I can only see 6 seats available for purchase in ES1 and that?s it ?
What on earth is going on ?
Will they now have to open the North Stand ? defeating the cost saving they had tried to avoid by opening more turnstiles, this will require more stewards and snack bar staff.
They have forced supporters to buy seats in the worst areas of the family stand while leaving ES5 empty for segregation ?
This policy is bonkers ! They should have opened all the Family Stand for home supporters and used the away end for the Swindon fans which would have needed exactly the same amount of staffing.
    Absolute Shambles !

    I agree.

I wonder how many ST holders in the other stands would have willingly bought a ticket for 'their seat' at the price they are selling for (or even a bit higher)? I know I would have readily paid 10+1 for me and my grandson's seats but currently we're going to give it a miss.

I noticed this myself last night, except there were 7 seats available when I looked. Seems like the club are actively encouraging people not to go.

Unless they open up another stand (which they'll surely have to) I won't be going on Saturday.

There was a similar thread for the sheff utd pre season friendly: for that one they only opened the north stand initially. I didn't buy as i prefer a side view, then managed to get a ticket when they opened west stand 2 days before the game.

I?ve bought east stand seats for Saturday as i can tolerate that but i imagine all those who sit behind the goal are waiting for the North Stand to open before they buy.

Thought it was dumb for a friendly but defies belief for a ?first team? fixture. I appreciate saving costs by not opening the whole ground but just selling 2 blocks is sending out the wrong message entirely.

Yep, I'm waiting for north stand to open.
I think this system, puts fans off buying, especially if they prefer to be near the front or the back, as they are selling a block at a time, you have to wait to get the seat you prefer. Not many like to be near the corner flags, so its slow going as they try to flog ES1 and ES2.

Yes they really don?t deserve any fans with this policy, but the team do ! they have now opened the first two blocks in the home end meaning they might as well just open all of that half up because they will have to open the turnstiles up for access, the toilets and the snack bar ? I can see a lot of fans going to the shop to swap their seats from East to North causing mayhem !!

I wondered why they call us a Toytown club, I suppose this answers my question.Like the FA Cup are not but it does generate money.

Agree with all the above, waiting for North Stand to open to buy tickets.

This exactly which makes it just a farce, presently they have the families mixed up with the North Standers who are more than likely capable of producing some fruity language !
