    I think that is right

We signed Nammo permanently so could bring in Stephenson as another loan

Then we have a serious problem.

Worth spending money on a keeper to solve the problem though, as shown by our 22/23 season.

I do think Rhuriadh Adams should get his chance.

He has played a lot of matches in lower leagues and always looks good for reserves / under 23s etc

Big prospect and this could be his time

I think throwing him in behind this defence could be a mistake. In saying that if we had a reserve league and us fans could get to see him I wouldn't be so against it, if he showed up well. However we have Richards and if he is not deemed good enough, the question is why was he signed? Competition for places is what pushes, drives performances imo. If Goodwin doesn't play Richards against Killie he might have to fall on his sword. Incompetence is signing players that you think are not good enough and Goodwin did sign Richards.

How Esselink, Sevelj & Iovu have been given starts when seriously off form all comes back to the manager not using or building a squad with strength and depth. If he doesn't recover from this episode I have no sympathy for him because it is of his own making.

I think we need to see how this weekend goes. We have bought an entire team and JG has been frustratingly beige in his tactics. We were inevitably going to hit a sticky patch at some point! I am disappointed that this has been on the horizon for a while but we haven't reacted to it.
Looking at the way Motherwell have been playing and their manager seems to have them playing proper passing football and he isn't afraid of changing tactics and personel when the game dictates....I genuinely feel they are more likely to finish closet to the OF than Hearts!
We have surely reached a crossroads and if last weekend isn't a wake up call to all the players and the manger, then nothing will.
I will wait to see what our response is but if we go for the same tactics or the same set of players...then it is 100% on the manager!
Anything less than 100% effort from the kick off, then the players can leave because they won't have the heart for the relegation battle that will definitely ensue.

Having watched the goals again for the first time since the game, that defence is equally culpable. Absolute f*cking disgrace!

Agree. I?ve mentioned it before. Our defence is shocking and rudderless. The gaps between our defenders has been shocking this seasons and the inability to pick up men in and around the box has been just as bad. Hopefully big Ross can come in and sort this out. Would also like to young Sam in beside him.

Wouldn?t be adverse to giving Dave a shot between the sticks either.

And going back to Hearts away the midfield were totally culpable too. It's very frustrating just now.

Hearts at home Iovu was at fault for the goals, yet we here the recruitment guy saying he has been tracking him for years? If you look at where he has been over the years he has been moved on a bit imo. Does that not tell you that coaches have tried to get more out of him but maybe best to move him on?

I can't help but look back and see the parallels with McNamara and Thompson with their vision to cash in and make some money from transfers. This binning the Scottish experience looks exactly like the experiment that failed. These two scenarios came off the back of a good season previously. I hope I'm seeing nothing of the sort but Goodwin and all his talk about having quicker defenders might be true but they are not a solid unit.

Will we end up risking a player on the plastic pitch tomorrow and that player will be out for months?.................

We have to "rest" our keeper for this game. He doesn't look like he can handle pressure at the best of times, and in this game, if playing, he will be under immense pressure. Every corner/set piece he will be targeted (like Falkirk)

Lets not forget though, that his own defence is putting him under pressure every fcukin' match.

Time for a wee re-set, hopefully just a blip.(I'm not convinced it is though)
