    No Game Week

Well, out of all the relevant cups, Cheshire Cup, hurmmmm, real money spinner. But gives the kids) and possibly now 1st players chance st a cup!
I have s good friend (Swindon fan), eho said sfter last nights penalty disaster, that at least we can concentrate on the league! I did ask hime, which, League 2 promotion or stay out of National League.
Almost halfway through, i had Crewe, just missing playoffs and I stand by that.
January window always worries me as the Board struggle to negotiate 6 x month contracts, obvioulsy players want 12-18 months at this point and subject to where we end the season, could be wasted cash (look at the likes of Gillingham over the past few years) Overall if not decimated with recalls, the squad should be better than last season's 2nd half. Even if we went up, can we sustain League 1, probanly not, without investment. Even so, any injection eould take probably 2 x seasons to begin to deliver. National League, has some serious teams and cash and we have to avoid that at all costs. Judt some mid season thoughts.

Carlisle had 10,000 fans at last home game....The national league is probably more to our strengths and weaknesses.

We have always been a mediocre team and unlike Bournouth and a host of others that were and are dedicated to be better..We have had zero ambition and that is the problem and oh I think we should rename our club as CA Academy FC..

Some interesting comments LordK and I like your optimism for the remainder of the season.

But if you take into consideration our result for the last 14 games we achieved 15 points. That is 1.07 points per game. If we continue at the same incredibly high standard we would end with 57 pointsat the end of the season. That is well in the bottom half.

But do not despair LB and RD will have consulted the League2 book of excuses to justify our position in a league full of small clubs.

As there is at least one loan player who LB refuses to play, perhaps that player should be returned in January. Maybe then, we can recruit a talented midfielder to make up for the lack of recruitment in that area over summer.
It is also clear that we need Sanders contract signing NOW and not left to the last minute next Summer.
On the theme of NO GAME, are there truthfully any more players coming back from injury soon?
Can the management use the free week to consider how to best use March now that Tezgel seems to be guaranteed his place.

I acknowledge the points tally. We are not a great hold onto a draw team. We need to win or loose. 1 x point games no use, unless we are 3-0 down and get a fighting draw. Appreciate comments back and thoughts to where we can get quick wins, this season not next!. I thought Stockport the orher night really showed the limitations of our youngers, there were quicker, bigger, more aware. Then penalties, they were focused, its as if we had the draw over 90+ minutes and expected to let them win. Also whats with our keeper going feet first for most saves?

That is exactly a good description of the game. I actually was annoyed with the way we were outplayed for most of the game. In a home tie to have at best 40% possession is so poor. We never tried to play good football out of defence. Our lack of movement to receive a pass was non-existent. They had no idea what position on the pitch they should have been in. That should be natural and they should over years training know automatically where they should be. We were lucky that Stockport did not have their shooting boots on..

As usual LBs post match comments were unreal. That was not a good experience for young players. Team selection was so poor.

In this no game week, can I ask has anyone heard anything about Lankester's return. He was slated as a thin possibility for Oldham but failing that a probability for Cambridge. Well, as we know, he didn't make either, not even on the bench. In the meantime, we have recalled Thibaut. Is this latter point indicative of the idea that no other forwards are due to return?
Whatever, we have some very important games coming up. Against the bottom of the table followed by Tranmere a fixture we don't do well in and then, possibly in front of the biggest crowd of the season, we play a team with a massively negative goal difference who have lost all of their last 6 games. Nevertheless 9 points out of 9 should be demanded from these games. 7 should also be the absolute minimum. Anything else is failure.

Is it asking too much for the club to issue an injury list weekly and how long players will be out for. Also for someone to have a dialogue with fans about matches and injuries and tactics etc?

Or is CAFC part of the secret service and tell em nowt!

McGarry asks LB each time but he is difficult to hear and so is LB who sounds chinese when he is talking!

The club, via LB RD or sometimes KL give an injury update every Thursday (on a normal match week). They gave an update yesterday.
    The final sentence?bizarre.
