Simple arithmetic we had 2 forwards on loan or should I say sicknotes. Surely we've learned we need signings who've been playing. Should be able sign a forward on a contract who has costing us no more than it did for the 2 we've sent back.
Oops
3 loans is what MH says, being that we will have at least 4 players leave seems like we are planning to weaken the squad not strengthen it. This squad needs a lot of work to be good enough in my opinion
The squad will have less players in it so less cover being we can?t keep players fit. Gore will go back, potentially Baptiste as well and I predict that we will sell at least one if not two. Kelly, Raggett and potentially Nombe are likely candidates, just like the sale of Bramall came out of the blue. I think this is a very important window for us, you might disagree.
Etete and Sherif have already left the club, Kayode biggest mistake ever resigning him but suppose it was another cheap option only left to take up. Surely this has freed up some wages from Etete and Sherif and Hammy doesn't have to go with the begging bowl to Stewart?
From now to the season end, it's a shame Stephen Fletcher has announced his retirement from the game. Big target man who knows how to score. Think he could have done us a stop gap til then. Before RU66 jumps on the fact he's now 38, he has/had the potential to deliver.
We ALL know how desperate we are to sign another forward if not two, should a decent bid come in for Nombe. Hopefully with his recent injuries it puts potential buyers off him. Fingers crossed on that one.
Leavers in January - Kelly, Jack Holmes, possibly Nombe.
Can't wait for next season. Thought I read the other day that 20 players are out of contract at the end of the season? Time then for Hamshaw to put his full mark on the team much like Warne did on his second season and look how that turned out!

I get Raggett/Yearwood and you forgot to throw in Jules. As for Hugill, he's back fit but you say move him on. We simply haven't got the money to bring in two new, maybe three forwards if Nombe is sold in January so how would your plan work?
At the end of the season, 20 players are out of contract, give it some patience and time, and that means leaving Hugill here til then. Hamshaw will then have the cleanest slate possible to rebuild his team.
IF we bring in two new forwards in January to bolster our front line, I don't think we will be strong enough to push on for a late play off place. Also I wouldn't want to go up with what would be a near on new team that hasn't played together before.
It's a real shame Sherif got injured because he certainly had an eye for goal and would have made a world of difference last night.
