You get what I'm saying though? Umpteen United managers have tried and failed at Celtic Park (usually getting a pumping). What happened today was as predictable as it comes so to round in JG in this way makes no sense at all.

Ye,was there today and it just felt like i was watching a rerun of the last 30 years. It just felt inevitable. Celtic throttled us from the start and never really let up on us really until the 4th goal went in and id blame the goalie for the 3rd goal(why doesnt he ever just save it out for a corner?) but apart from that he did ok. Camara again was a waste of a strip and doesn't look match fit and we had very little going forward as no one could get up to help the forwards as we were so deep.

3 home games in a row coming up and 4 out of 5 at home too so this for me will be a major indication if JG is up to the challenge.

Imagine you have been at every one of those last 51 Celtic v Utd games? How much money you must have spent. Couple of decent draws and performances, alongside some late heartache, but largely abject displays. You could have gone round the world about twice with all that money spent.

It was bad timing with O?Neill and his team coming in

When the Old Firm perform well like today other spl teams are not going to be stopping them

I am actually grateful for the stability JG has brought. I?d like us to get a few seasons in the premier league and feel he will always bring us that

His strengths are in recruiting, organising and motivating.

I don?t say he is perfect, far from it but I would like JG to get time to build

Short term periods of changing the manager has got us nowhere

Levein was often quite long ball in his approach and I didn?t mind at all

    Big games coming up

Peter Houston took over from Sir Craig, released the shackles with exactly the same team and then took us to another level.

I am not for unloading Goodwin currently however I do feel like we are getting more negative week on week for which he carries some similarities with Sir Craig who also by nature was very much a ‘cautious’ manager. This despite the fact we had allegedly recruited a squad to make us the exact opposite. I want Goodwin to succeed. I want Goodwin to bring us stability. I want Goodwin to bring us success. However, if he doesn’t start to look at a more positive approach then he’s inevitably going to be under pressure. Next week against Ayr United, there should be zero excuses. That absolutely should be a comfortable home win by at least a couple of goals. If that doesn’t come to pass JG is going to start to come under pressure because make no mistake I suspect the natives are starting to grumble……….

From the kick off everyone physically retreated to the penalty box, the tactic was clear as day and JG bottled it and dragged the squad down as well.

Can you imagine the negative mental messages going to a squad of players who are drilled into nothing but defense all week!!!!! and told they dont want to be pumped. If an early goal had gone in against the sellick then they would have panicked.

Even their keeper was near the halfway line and noone tried to shoot over him......

We can cause them problems though and if we can get in about them...we could easily unsettle them. Unfortunately, I think that our entire management will assume that they have become amazing overnight and will try to park the bus....which would be fine if we had a bus instead of a Robin Reliant. As usual with United..expecting the worst but hoping for the best!
    Heart says- 2-1 United
Brain says 6-0 Celtic and we are a defeat to Ayr away from a sacking!
A sadly predictable outcome. The lack of signings, the lack of positivity and the lack of belief, builds a workplace where its OK to be average and take no risks. We are settling for survival in the league and that mindset will rip through our club like a cancer. We are 100% not safe from relegation...we are 100% not too good to be relegated....we are 100% letting our fans down with our performances. The pressure on us to get a result next weekend is massive and I am not sure that we perform well when there is pressure on us. If we try and sneak a 1-0 win as usual...then I think we really run the risk of losing. We need a player or 2 in to freshen things up or we need a complete turnaround in tactics and training this week.

I'm sure the squad was assembled to make us more attacking but conceding 2 goals a game has forced JG into putting a team out that defends more...

How about Goodwin plays players that are match fit? Yesterday and the derby he put Camara in. A good player on his day when fit. Anyone watching him unknown to his own fans must think we are drooling over sh!te. Same with Nammo. Great against Livingston but back in when not fit by the looks of it. Could say the same about Sevelj being on the bench against Dundee. Phuck sakes I think if you have youngsters that are fit they should be getting on the bench or starts. If you are good enough you are old enough.

Eskesen played a delightful ball through for Traps but he didn't catch on to what was happening before it was away from him. However Eskesen is a central midfielder why was he not utilised when Camara is not fit?

How I wish Scottish football would just bring back the reserve league, no phucking about bring it back with no age restriction crap and allow you to play trialists as well, simple.

As for the Scottish Cup run I heard that Huw Edwards doing a cover of Tom Jones & Mousse T *** Bomb is more likely than United having a run in the competition.

The goals we were conceding early on where mainly errors not because we were playing attacking football especially at corners and our departed goalie had a mare at Easter Road. What it do was make JG more cautious and we ended up with the worst of both worlds less creativity going forward and mistakes still happening at the back.
