“Reports” that we are interested in Brazilian winger Rayan age 19. Don’t get excited as Bournemouth are also interested and have bid ?27 million. That’s us screwed then!

Yep I've shared two or three reports in the 'January' thread.

All the players we've been linked to, that make sense (the ones in the right age range and the realistic cost/value) are in the January thread dude.

Aye - we've put a lot of work in scouting and building networks in Brazil, so wouldn't surprise me to some some moves there.

Sounds like Pardew, we just get a month of being told "we are thinking about, thinking about taking interest in"

Looks like Bournemouth are leading the charge. Bit miffed about this one but what to do.

Plenty more Brazilian striker Wonderkids in the favela!

Would be nice to see a few faces in to add to the depth and overall quality of the squad. If the summer window is where we have big plans, then so be it - I'll be looking forward to that instead then.

If the top targets are unachievable in Jan it's better to not just sign anyone. I get that.

The Left back who's coming back from injury in France, Methalie, is still mooted as the most likely to be brought in.

The targets like Kees Smit were players that the club went after aggressively in Jan after trying to do the deal in the summer. Sadly, that's not been possible. No doubt that one will be revisited again at the end of the season. Whether the young lad joins or not remains to be seen. Jorge Mendez is supposed to be now engaged in getting the deal done so it's looking likely that he'll got to warm the bench at Madrid and waste years like Martin Odegaard did years ago & Endrick is currently doing.

Let's hope the lad has good advisers and NUFC can convince him to come to Tyneside. He'll definitely play and develop.

The likes of Miley and Hall at the same age will come into their own at the same time in a few years. That generation of players will be the ones who take NUFC to the title and possibly European Glory.

I don?t think we should sign anyone in January as we have enough players already that need bedding in : Wolt, Elanga, Wissa.
Theres a report on BBC showing we have lost more days of injured players than any other PL team this season. Lets get the lads fit, and the new ones bedded in - we can still finish the season strongly.

    Makes great sense.
Especially when the fixture list starts slimming down

You make an interesting argument mate. Last night was a night were Wissa and two wingers clicked. J7 back to his best.

Subs when they came on Elanga looked much improved and the crowd singing his name saw the lad grow in stature half a foot. Ramsey solid again, not spectacular but steady away.

Time and minutes will only see improvements across the 5 players brought in over the summer.

It's probably gonna be the Methalie lad at the back end of the window. Perhaps another young CB, Tiago Gabriel.
