A massive no from me. Won’t even watch it, not that that will make any difference.

The Olympics organisers supporting a murderous regime does not sit well with me, even taking into account that sport and politics should not be mixed. They are end of.

NO! I wouldn’t even allow any Russians to compete in any sport even under a neutral flag.

It's a NO from me too. It would be nice to be able to separate sporting or entertainment/arts events from regimes but at some point other countries have to take a stand and boycotting them sends a message that their behaviour is not acceptable. To allow them to compete is only encouraging the leaders of those regimes to believe that they might again be welcomed by the wider international community and that their actions will be tolerated.

In the case of Russia, it is also highly likely that members of their team may be in with a chance of winning medals and enable Putin to crow about that on the world stage. It may be seen by some to be unfair on individual athletes or performers who are politically innocent and do not support the viewpoint of their regime but if the latter is the case then they would surely understand the reason for their exclusion.

Anything that can put pressure on leaders such as Putin to reconsider their actions can't be bad. On the other hand, money talks and sports bodies aren't immune from corruption -as FIFA continually demonstrate.

Yep No from me too. But perhaps you should do a poll here on whether we should say no to Russian money too? Its claimed that Farage et al have been taking russian money. If this is true, would any of you say no to Reform? Same for all other parties.

p.s Al, i don’t mind coming on here to comment on posts, i’m happy to - and in all honestly, despite our different viewpoints i’ll still engage in conversations where and when I can.

It is unfortunate that countries do not collectively indicate that they would boycott the games if Russian and Belarusian athletes are permitted to take part.

I would suggest if there were enough willing to do so it would provide a show of strength and ultimately give the Olympic Committee food for thought.

I would feel for the athletes who have trained for years but I have to say I would, as an individual, refuse to participate if Russian or Belarusian athletes are permitted to do so. I do understand it is a personal choice but if one has morals then at least stand by them.

Said in jest Regis and you make some good points so hope you continue to do so. I do not vote and looking at all the parties I would not vote going forward. The only one I have a soft spot for is Kemi because she?s a very bright cookie and runs rings around Starmer.

There?s a few embroiled in Russian money and we can guess who they are! Pure greed!
