Paralympic Games & Russian Sports

It is unfortunate that countries do not collectively indicate that they would boycott the games if Russian and Belarusian athletes are permitted to take part.

I would suggest if there were enough willing to do so it would provide a show of strength and ultimately give the Olympic Committee food for thought.

I would feel for the athletes who have trained for years but I have to say I would, as an individual, refuse to participate if Russian or Belarusian athletes are permitted to do so. I do understand it is a personal choice but if one has morals then at least stand by them.

Totally agree with you but sadly money talks. Same with the last World Cup in Qatar a couple of pundits were shockingly slating human rights and gays but still were happy to pick up huge payments.

The worst mistake was Russian flags and their national anthem to be played if medals are won. Can you imagine a Ukrainian standing on the same podium? Many quite rightly have principles!

Morning Dan! They no doubt would be in the World Cup had it not been too late - someone will be about to receive a huge envelope though for entry in 2030.

Had a quick look over the fence this morning. Whenever this site goes down Regis seems to get a hard on. Strange. Lucky him though eh? As for John he appears to be getting along very well with Boingy. I hope for his sake Boingy isn't one of the many guest viewers we get on here. Poor lamb might have a meltdown if he thinks he's been talking to you all this time .

Even our Regis uses this forum to escape and start threads. Maybe that John dude will place a juicy thread on there - What would you do if Keir knocked on your door ?
