He is guilty of ***ual assault, for which he should have been punished by the courts, and appalling hypocrisy - but the only reason he has been drawn into this discussion is the pathological hatred that the poster who did so has for Catholics in general and the Church in particular.
He was drawn into the discussion due to his close relationship with Alex Salmond, who praised him after he was caught when his victims were finally heard after years of being fended off by the church and O'Brien's lawyers. A well known homo***ual within the church he made many statements attacking homo***uals and marriage.

The ***ual assaults that you pass off as a "grope" were to five young priests in their ***** and O'Brien, a senior church figure, ***ually assaulted them after calling them into his room, there were reports of 40 other assaults between 1985 and 2010 which were swept under the carpet by the church as they rewarded O'Brien with a 250k house in which to retire, he should have gone to prison for his crimes.
