Slight understatement, he was one of the best players in the league and had a crazy amount of assists, showing that he was clearly playing below his standard.

Gary Liddle left us for Bradford to be "closer to home" and moved to Bradford, probably saving a similar amount of time Noble has in this move. Personally I highly doubt Noble even said anything about homesickness, I'd say it was the excuse Forest Green used to save some face in letting one of their best players leave for nothing after turning down £100k for him a few months ago. I know I'd be clutching at straws trying to not look like absolute clowns if I was them.

Why do you think a hard working central midfielder is a replacement for a player that has spent 99% of the season playing on the wing? They both score goals from midfield but thats where the similarities end.

Were we trying to replace Grant in the summer when we tried to bring in Noble then too?
