I know this subject pops up once in a while but there's a big change happening. Whilst Rotherham town centre itself has seen an upturn in visitors since the relocation of our football teams the High Street is about to suffer a massive blow.
Primark has decided to relocate to the Retail World and it's happening soon. For all the right reasons for them, they are clearly doing it to create growth and hopefully will create other jobs in the area. However for the town centre its going to again reduce the footfall in the town.
I have interest in the High Street due to my sister in law owning Yella Brick Road and her husband owning Things that boys like but there are more little shops on that street that are doing great thigs. These guys are of the belief that it is important that they keep going in the town most of them grew up in.
So before the matches before Chistmas go and take a look at the shops on there and maybe you may find a xmas present for someone or have a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
