Gestures to the fans should be encouraged IMO. Our players laughing and jumping up and down when they score, reacting to the joy shown on the terracing is exactly what should be happening. Same with the opposition giving us discrete banter back. There's no need to start a war but some interaction between players and crowd seems to me to be desirable. Remember Andy Goram giving the old Provie Road end a behind his back a yapping hand gesture when Rangers scored at the TC Keay end. Huge roar of abuse directed at him and a big innocent smile on his face as he turned to see what all the fuss was about.

Also Charlie Millar, when he was playing for United was getting pelters from the SE because we were winning 2-1. Charlie, Charlie what's the score, belting out. He turns round and gestures 2 with one hand and 1 with the other hand. Both gestures , rude , but his smile as he did it was funny. More abuse for him but I bet he still has a chuckle about it.
