O/T charity event.

6 of us are planning a fundraising event for charity.

3 ex Marines and and 3 ex Paras are going to complete a series of activities.

This will be 10 Marathons in 10 days followed by a bike ride from New York stadium to an early away game at the start of next season.

I’m asking early as we are still in the planning stage and asking if anyone wants to participate in any of the Marathons or the bike ride at the start of next season?

We’re hoping to raise over 1 £ million pounds for 4 charities which are

Help the heroes.
Cancer research.
Alzheimer’s
And a local one to Rotherham to be decided.

Not sure if anyone on here is into fitness and stuff but if so private message me if you want to be involved?

I will of course nearer time be on asking for donations.

I hadn’t heard of them until I saw a tweet from Sam Tood (our media assistant) who was doing a marathon which I gladly donated to , his mother along with others help to run this charity which help children who have lost or are losing someone close to them.
It’s part of the Rotherham Hospice

Edit I’ve just seen from our official site that the supporters trust have donated £500 to them . Well done to them
