But you're missing the main point, Saxo. The management-team at the club know which ones are ready; we don't.
If you look back to last season's Checkatrade Trophy, many PL clubs entered their Under-23 teams, some of them packed with youth internationals. How did they do? Abysmally (with one exception). Some of them lost against D.2 teams (often with the best players missing). There is a huge gulf between the two levels, and it's generally clear that even the cream of a Development Squad have to be introduced gradually - like Nyambe. Anyway, who would you drop from our top 15 experienced players to bring in another two or three of our U-23s?
I'm not entirely sure myself about this practice of bringing in PL youngsters either, but I think it's mainly a safety-net. The priority in Mowbray's mind will still be experienced imports.
As usual, your patience has run out very quickly. It's surely admirable that TM won't be held to ransom. To be honest, I'll be happy with two or three players with a track-record. What I certainly don't want us to do is to indulge in pay-anything desperation.
As I said, I bet the one most frustrated by the slow progress is Mowbray himself. Somehow, though, you're arguing it's his fault!
