Ready made talent? What exactly is ready made talent that we supposedly don't buy? Surely you don't mean the Pogba's of this world.

Relying on short term loans?

We've loaned out players more than equal to anything we brought in, so there's no reliance on short term loans.
Rondon is the only one we are reliant on because we couldn't buy and had to do a deal with Gayle as opposite loan.
Kenedy is certainly not relied on and has contributed very little this season, yet last season many were clamouring for the club to buy him.

As far as being lucky with underpriced talent. Really?
I remember at first people were arguing that we brought in wasters, kind of thing and yet the very same players that were deemed pointless are the very same players that are touted as being a player of the season with some.
Is it luck or is there something behind the scenes that's spotting the potential of players, enough to save paying extortionate prices for lesser players?

Our players aren't world beaters but neither are the players who we come up against outside of the top 6 and even many in the top 6 are debatable..
Ki, Schar, Fernandez, Dubravka we got for pittances in general footballing financial terms but they've all performed enough to put them into a bracket of much much higher in fees of which we would likely have argued against but yet would demand the higher bracket as of now.

It does get reinvested, it just doesn't get reinvested into the state of the art copycat facilities of some of the clubs who've went mental on basically mollycoddling pop star like players or treating bang average players to the trappings and fathering/mothering the future prima donnas in many instances.
If players we bring in end up going out for much more than we paid and we end up with little to no net spend then the money must have been reinvested. It just hasn't in the pound notes that people vision as being required to somehow move ahead.

Every purchase is a gamble but having a contingency plan to give you a helping hand back up if all goes pear shaped, is a good thing.
As for reliance on the good will of other clubs. How so?
Because it's swings and roundabouts as far as I see in terms of good will and the same goes for just about (if not all) every other club.
Ashley's not perfect in any way shape or form but he's certainly not as bad as being made out in my opinion, but each to their own.

Extremely sustainable.
I'll tell you what isn't sustainable.
Buying players for massive fees and paying stupid wages to end up with a bunch of mercenaries who refuse to shift when it all goes teets up.
Sunderland are a prime example of that and their massive transfer fees weren't on any par with the elite clubs, but their wages were too close for comfort.
Don't think for one minute it won't happen to us if we go silly...even with Rafa.

I see a lot of heart and graft in this squad and I do see emerging talent. I concentrate on that and I bemoan lack of entertainment at times, but that's football.
What I don't need to do is to worry about the owner, because I think the club is in good hands and have done since day one, regardless of us not getting what we think we deserve.
