I have just watched the Coronavirus Press Conference from Number 10, and was impressed by the way this very worrying subject is being dealt with. The Prime Minister set the scene, and the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Scientific Officer presented what appears to be a realistic and sensible approach to this very serious and worrying problem.
To some, it may seem to be a “stiff upper lip” approach, but from my perspective, I felt reassured that we have people in authority who we may have faith in.
Sadly, I won’t see 70 again, and like previous posters, have medical problems. However life must go on, and although it may prove to be misplaced, I continue to have faith in the people whose job it is to look after our welfare. After all, our forebears went through far worse than the problems we face today.
We all have a “duty of care” not only to look after ourselves, but also to do what is right for our society in general.
