Nah Winnie, I don't bother with Supermarkets for me Stella. Only 1/43 pubs in Kilkenny serve Stella so a mate of mine who has a cash n carry delivers a slab (24 cans) every week.
Don't always bother with the drink, but still kept the slab a week up for nigh on a year. So I wasn't so much panic buying as unintentional stockpiling over 12 months . I suppose this is my 'rainy day (year), so might try a few today

On the cake front Win, I don't do Choc cake, more of a Cheese scone and Welsh cake man. Did a nice Lemon drizzle cake with Salted Caramel Chocolate butter icing at the weekend, but the young Villan saw that off in no time.

Very therapeutic is baking, gives the mind something else to worry about. E.g. A cheese souffle can really set the pulses racing if it looks like it may fail to rise.
Ha ha, I wish I had a friend with a cash n carry at the moment. Always good to be prepared for a rainy year.

Well, chocolate is my fave but those all sound yummy. Actually, I like all cake - apart from coffee cake (don't drink coffee either). After reading your post I quite fancy making (and eating) some lock in cake, but running a bit low on baking ingredients, so thinking I need to be sensible and keep it for making bread if I can't get any. Not making any carrot cake?

How's the young Villan coping with confinement?
