Something is different, now. Infections don't seem to be as fatal as previously, why? If there is still a high risk for old vulnerable people then by all means have a stand, or as many seats as required with 2m separation. I had a look at things that have a death rate of 20 per 100000.
Lung cancer, diabetes both have mortality rates globally higher than 20 per 100000. The difference is these are self inflicted, that's not a very fair way of phrasing it, but there is an element of personal genetic predisposition. Maybe Covid is similar and it is a virus that can be fatal for some people.
As usual the SFA and SPFL have not done their homework and are happy to toady along to Queen Nicola and Jason Leitch’s rules.
The SFA and SPFL should be quoting the Scottish Government owned Calmac ferries as an example for the introduction of one metre social distancing rules for spectators at football matches with immediate effect.
In today’s Sunday Times (6th September) there is an article on this subject where in England the government are planning to introduce a saliva test for people purchasing a ticket two days before a football game with the results being given a couple of days after the game.
Boris has stated we need to get people back to large sporting events plus attending the theatre.
Where Nippy will introduce this test is another matter. If not then the football supporters will just have to rise up and complain bitterly. With the Scottish Government elections taking place next year she can not afford to alienate a large section of the Scottish electorate.
