It is my opinion that our owners have decided that the future of our club is thus.

Firstly we have to remember that our owners have no prior knowledge of running a football club, they were guided by the Peoples Republic of China Hierarchy to purchase us. Their only loyalty is to the communist regime and to them it is a business. Now that Sky has changes the arrangement with televising games we are now of less interest to them.

It is just too expensive for us to assemble a squad that can realistically survive in the top division. In the few years they have owned us they have observed newly promoted clubs like Fulham and Villa spend £100M +and at best just survive
.
On the other hand it appears that the odds are far more favourable to plan and build a competitive championship side that will achieve promotion and at much less cost.

So maybe their aim it to accept a halfway house scenario. A club that is a major force in the championship, entertaining and pleasing the fans each week.

Then when promotion is achieved do a Norwich spend less to nothing and bank the spare cash and hope to go again.
