My wife and I have lived in our house for over 30 years and except for the family attached to our semi I could not tell you the surname of anyone in the entire road. I agree with this, I’m very similar, I’ve left my last two houses due to f u c k I n g idiotic, rude, selfish, arrogant neighbours.

I now live on a lovely rural lane with one neighbour to the side of me and nobody opposite.

Next door are early 50’s with no kids and like church mice, if they ever move I’ll try to buy their house or see if my daughter will move there.

I had a new build holiday apartment in Saundersfoot back in 2006 and one night some long term renters had an all night party next door and ruined the place for me, I went straight to the estate agents the next morning and put it up for sale!

I made a loss on it but I just wanted out.

Buying anything like a holiday home or vehicle is fraught with stress and danger especially when it’s with family.

It’s an awful thought, it’s going to end up with one or more of the four people getting really peed off with whatever.
