Back to the picture and I believe I see the bigger picture. As a club we couldn’t continue to operate in the manner we have for 2 decades. Rolling from owner to admin to owner and getting very close to seizing to exist. In my opinion, the current owners, have a long term plan that I believe will get and keep our club on a sound footing for years to come. Unfortunately, in the current world we live in the short term success of getting out of this bloody league may not come soon enough for some. For me, as painful as it maybe, a few disappointing performances/results will not make me lose faith in the long term plan. Some of the cogs in the plan may need to be changed along the way, but not after 9 matches.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your beer in the sun.
Agree with all that. Wether people like the Brentford / Moneyball approach or not, it’s happening. If we want to produce saleable players to higher leagues they need to be schooled the right way, footballs changing / changed. Playing from the back is what all the academies are doing, long gone are the days where they only take on kids that are physically stronger than the rest and as others have said we will be a more attractive option to loan players to. It will make its way down to non league eventually but with that obviously there is debate whether you can be successful now in this league doing it. The owners have a long term view/strategy and good leaders stick to their principles but football is emotional/ short term to fans and that’s where the friction comes in as we see on here.
