Absolutely gutted the way Lewis lost the title. You have to say though Max has raced very well this season.

Initially, I thought for a split second on turn 6 of lap 1 Max had gone for a deliberate t-boner to end the race there and then. If it wasn't for Lewis' lightening reactions there surely would have been a collision.

As for the 11 second lead and someone loses it with 6 laps to go, you couldn't write that would happen. Max was never going to catch Lewis and he knew that. Lewis raced superbly all day and then that happened.

As for the calamity of the stewards initially saying lapped cars couldn't overtake then changing their minds 30 seconds later allowing Max to get right up behind Lewis on fresher tyres smacked of a fix. Disgusted at the stewards for that. It was obvious what was about to unfold as Max shot past him. A shocking end to a race and denying a true potential new world record holder standing proud.
