The FA Cup dream is over for another year but at least we got to play in it in 2022. The 1-1 draw at full time would normally have seen QPR back at ours for a replay this Tuesday coming but is it a blessing that they're not? Pundits talking about fixture pile ups for clubs and with Wigan having more than most to play and still in 2 cup competitions I think that for them the play-offs is a more likely finishing position now.
But it's still all to play for really and we have to lose 5 games than Portsmouth, SWFC and Ipswich for them to over take us. This then leaves 7 teams playing for the top 2 places and apart from Wigan we have games in hand over most.
It truely has been a Macknificent season so far!
But now we're in the Money talks part of the season! Transfer Window time and it's now where panic buying and strenthening takes place. Do we really need anyone? The only reason we do is that Freddie has handed in a transfer request. It's unfortunate but we can replace him. Losing other players would be a bigger blow but I'm sure that the management team will be happy just to replace Freddie.
I hope that when the transfer window if closed that we're as competitive as we were before it opened. There's no real reason to think otherwise but you never know!
And we have a great oportiunity this season to make more history! Best run of games without losing, 100 points?, League champions? and a cup win at Wemberlee?
Why not dream?
Today my main dream is not to hear that ****ing captain Pugwash theme!
Enjoy the match girls and boys!
