Our 'best' first XI as things stand ??

Aye aye radges .... Whilst Ah'm generally, 'reasonably content' wi the signings so far ( though mair content wi' fit's been binned it must be said) .... Ah've been lookin' at what our best first XI might be ... oot o' what's fit we hae at this point in time .... and ...
... well, the punts are a tad moist ... nae really soiled yet, certainly nae dreepin', mair like, well ... let's say 'pre-soggy'

Why? .... Defence!

Ah canna avoid concoctin' a spontaneous incontinence inducin' line up unless Ah include Hayes and/or McRorie in the back 3/4/5 .... and even then
.... even assumin the new signins might be half decent.

Ah'm almost embarrassed tae let ye see ma best suggestion ... but Ah'm lookin at only 5 recognised defenders ... Jack McKenzie bein' the only one Ah'd be comfy wi'

..... the rest? ... Bates, Stewart, Richardson, Scales, ffs!!

And so, feel free tae laugh, but Ah've gone for a 4231 set up ... cos, Ah reckon we need 2 defensive mids tae back up a 4 man bombscare in defence.

Nae sure if Ah'd be happy even gaein half the subs a seat on the bench, let alone a game, .... in fact, 5 o' them can get tae f()ck as far as Ah'm concerned! All in all, Ah think the above demonstrates that we still need at least anither 5 good quality signins.

It might be that there's a decent right back on that subs bench, or one or two yet tae step up fae the youth academy, but even if that's the case, we need at least one mair decent 'first team' centre back, at least one mair decent striker, ... two if Ramirez is on the wye oot, and, at least 2 mair mids ... 3 even if Ferguson is goin.

..... Still, we've already brought in mair than nearly every ither SPL side .... let's hope we're on a roll .... cos we're still a tad short.

Onywye, back on topic? .... onybody else game tae hae a go an' see if they can cobble a 'top six' worthy first XI? .... or are we back tae fieldin' traffic cones??
