If the conditions are over-demanding he could say stuff your job & then we're left in an open-market with not even the usual culprits applying. Most of the typical candidates wouldn't touch the job with a bargepole just now.

So what do you suggest? A nice bumper contract based on three games and watch him do to us what he did to Cowdenbeath? We should simply ask him to continue in charge on a temporary basis to prove himself. If he thinks after three games he's better than that, then good luck to him.

We are rooted to the bottom of the league as the only club in the country without a win. This is undoubtedly the biggest appointment since Levein. We simply cannot get it wrong.
