Given that Wrexham are always looking to sign decent League 1 players, you'd expect them to do well in League 2 with their aggressive, get-it-in-the-box-to-the-big-men approach.
We play a very high line and set teams the challenge of being able to beat it. Most National League teams are seemingly incapable of doing so - or miss the one-on-ones when they do break through. However, the higher up the leagues you go, the more you'd expect to find teams with the ability to exploit that potential weakness better.
Same with the mistakes we make at the back, which more often than not go unpunished at this level but would probably result in more goals against in L2.
A lot of people probably expected Stockport to secure back-to-back promotions this year - the fact that they've lost 10 games and are only 7th suggests it's a tougher league than they expected. The fact that Hartlepool are struggling and could get relegated again, just two years after gaining promotion, also seems to suggest that.
The counterargument to that is that Barrow and Sutton are both just outside the playoffs on what you'd imagine are pretty small budgets, so how good can L2 really be?
