    My question would be why so light a deduction?

    They haven't gone into Administration this time.
    4th late payment of wages in less than 12 months - where do you draw the line & say enough is enough.
    The 3 points deducted
    is the suspended one - not a new one. The independent inquiry is because Wigan owners agreed to put £125% of monthly wages into an account so the problem with late payment of wages didn't happen.
    Looks like their owners didn't adhere to the original agreement with the EFL.
    No real comparison to an administration.

    If Huddersfield decide to go into Administration before midnight this Thursday it's 12 points this season - if it's afterThursday it's deducted next season.
