Try a separate bed and an open window Phil and try to explain to your wife not to be offended.

The wife and I often end up in separate beds, when in Tenby at our place we always sleep in separate rooms as I mentioned earlier, neither of us takes offence.

My mum and dad slept in separate beds for about 20 years and a lady I’m friends with told me recently that her and her husband have done the same for ages purely due to sleep issues.

I sometimes find that I drop off to sleep with a side light on on a bad night, it’s almost as if you create a non expectation of sleep it suddenly happens.

The problem is “trying” to get to sleep, that’s a terrible mindset.
