It wasn’t just that one though - in the first few minutes the on field Ref denied them (correctly) another penalty shout, yet the VAR official ludicrously instructed him to review it at the monitor (no doubt fully aware of the ‘pressure’ he’s putting on him by doing that in front of 50000 zombies). For once the on pitch Ref stood by his original decision but it should never have come to that in the first place. I’ve got no doubt the VAR guy was hoping he was going to get it overturned.
