Wilson bust up?

Someone else pointed out that we stopped Wilson going to Athletico in Jan - maybe he wanted that move and it's been simmering since.

I would think he is popular to be honest, certainly gives that impression.

Howe has said he'll be avaliable for Sunday game. . . so hopefully this will put rumours to bed.

The opportunity to go to Athletico was a non-starter from a club perspective.

We've paid his salary for 100% of the games during the seasons he's been contracted to the club. He's player in 55% of those games.

The club kept him around when the take over happened when in that first summer I, like a lot of people were staying 'Get shot whilst we can get some cash for him and his injuries don't end up costing us'.

I get that he's eager to make the England squad but he's been out injured after 2 or 3 games back I dunno it was over as soon it began.

We need to replace him. If the player starts to act out & put themselves before the group and club then adios!

That is exactly what we don't need. That Mong Fraser tried it. Wilson is at the end of his usefulness in all honest, if he doesn't remain 100% invested and committed to the group then he has no value to the progress of our club.

Time to ship him out to whoever's interested in paying £15m+
