Some people have hundreds and thousands of Facebook “friends”, I purposely limit mine.

My best man died earlier this year and his business partner (who I didn’t know) sent me a friends request, I reluctantly accepted prior to the funeral because I didn’t want any perceived irritation at the funeral.

A decent enough bloke when I met him but not someone I’ll ever see again so he’ll get culled at some point.

Me and my best man worked for the same company for a few years and one of our bosses from that time also sent me a friends request at that sad time.

I couldn’t stand the bloke when he was my boss so I declined his request.

There are a few others who I don’t really think of as friends who seem to be more like watchers as they don’t interact and so I think I’ll have a culling session in the next day or two.

I’m only friends with a limited number of relatives as well, the older I’ve got and the more I’ve seen them the less I’ve liked them so I decline requests.

My favourite interactions are actually with my old Sunday football mates because we had a real bond.
