So 26 points before the clocks go back is a very decent start all things considered as we head into the FA Cup break from the league.
Looking ahead our next two league games are both away, at Doncaster (4th) and Crewe (5th), a real test to see how strong we really are and a good indicator to see if we can last the distance this time around.
My question is; would you take winning one and losing one of these games to come out of two tough games with 3 points, or would you prefer to draw both to preserve our mini unbeaten run, albeit for a point less on the board.
Factor in they’re both in and around us in the table and two draws would stop 4 points behind handed out to promotion rivals.
It may be too early to start looking at the table this way but we’re nearly a third of the way through and it’s definitely starting to take shape.
